Since 1950, Society for Science & the Public has provided an international stage for the world’s best and brightest young scientists through its International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world’s premier STEM competition.
WHERE: Locations change each year around the United States WHEN: Usually early May (see calendar) WHO: For the DF SciRes Program, students must win the Grand Prize at WESEF to be eligible to present at ISEF. Every year, tens of millions of students compete in science fairs around the globe but only about 1,800 earn the right to compete for the nearly $5 million in awards bestowed each May at ISEF. Learn more about competing at ISEF. Thousands of individuals contribute their time and energy to ISEF each year as judges, interpreters, and event volunteers. Organizations give special awards, present symposia, and provide educational outreach experiences. The subject of two critically acclaimed movies now showing (Inventing Tomorrow and Science Fair), ISEF inspires millions of students to think differently and build a better future. The Society for Science & the Public is currently building a community of supportive sponsors for the ISEF. |
